JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for oversight of all routine and non-routine cash operations functions.
Manages department's day-to-day workflow to meet departmental deadlines.
Provides supervisory functions for a team of analysts.
Assumes the core responsibilities and serves in capacity as manager in the event of their absence.
Required to make independent decisions within scope of latitude and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviews, analyzes and reports on key operational and quality control metrics related to cash operations.
Approves wire transfer requests.
Leads projects focused on increasing efficiency and digitization with respect to the cash operations department and those processes affecting cash operations.
Serves as initial point of contact for non-routine and escalated issues related to cash operations.
Escalates and coordinates resolution of issues related to cash operations with respective process owner(s).
Analyzes data related to process exceptions within Cash Operations and presents quality control recommendations to manager.
Assists manager with treasury related issues.
Assists manager with administrative duties related to cash operations as needed.
Serves as primary point of contact for coordination and submission of required audit documentation related to cash operations.
Minimizes business/organizational risk by leveraging operational controls to ensure compliance with audit requirements: SAS 70, USAP, and REGAB. Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area.
Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination.
Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime.
Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.
Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.
Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in either accounting, finance, or other business related curriculum required.
Minimum three years experience with mortgage loan servicing cash operations, investor reporting or bank reconciliations.
Previous experience in supervising or leading a team.

Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Intermediate level Excel experience required.
Must have a basic understanding of pivot tables, using functions, writing formulas, etc..
Understanding of the loan servicing industry with an ability to gain an understanding of the requirements of each respective partner and/or high profile customers.
Working knowledge of: the McCracken Strategy (AS400 based) loan servicing software preferred.
