Based on the company's offshore platforms. This position may, from time to time, also require incumbents to work at the Houston Office location. Our Unique Fast LNG solution utilizes existing marine and liquefaction technology and infrastructure to develop lower cost liquefaction facilities that can quickly be deployed around the world while offering substantial cost and timing benefits compared to standard liquefaction vessels or onshore liquefaction terminals.
As the Field Operator, you will be a self-starter with a solution-oriented mentality to help guide our team towards being a learning organization through defect elimination and continuous improvement.
What you will do:
Pre-deployment (Houston & Corpus Christi, TX)
  • On-boarding, HR inductions, IT set up, HSSE & Operational/Maintenance overview.
  • Computer based training (CBT), Learning Management Systems (LMS), Operations Training Simulator (OTS).
  • Emergency Response and BOSIET training.
  • Interface with equipment vendors to assure specifications and design deliverables are met.
  • Witness and assure the install and functionality of various instrumentation & control systems.
  • Witness the installation and functionality of fixed and rotating equipment.
  • Punch listing and walkdowns for various systems of the FLNG asset.
  • Drafting and review of procedures and documentation for commissioning and start-up.
  • Familiarization with FLNG facilities equipment and process.
  • General support as required across the commissioning & start up.
  • Input to the Project Completions Management and QA/QC Management Systems.
Post-deployment (Offshore - Altamira, Mexico)
  • Embracing and encouraging a safety culture that results in Zero harm to people, the facility or the Company's
reputation.
  • Diligently follow written and/or verbal instructions to operate, start up, or shutdown equipment on your
assigned asset.
  • Troubleshoot and correct any deficiencies with the process equipment within your assigned area.
  • Identify and document all deficiencies that will require maintenance intervention in the maintenance
management system.
  • Understand and execute the control of work process to include permitting, lock out/tag out, safe isolations,
and other critical activities necessary to assure the safe execution of work within your assigned asset.
  • Accurately make rounds and record equipment conditions such as pressure, temperatures, vibrations, and
other critical process data to assure asset is operating within design specifications.
  • Operate field process equipment in compliance with company environmental and safety policies.
  • Document and report all safety or environmental concerns to supervision.
  • Understand the status of field equipment safety systems and field safety devices and ensures that they are in
place and operable or approved alternate safeguards are available for continued safe operating and effective
emergency response.
  • Participate in Operating Procedure & Manual development process by continuously improving and updating
procedures.
  • Participate in commissioning and startup activities associated with assigned asset.
What you bring:
  • Available to work offshore on a 21/21 rotation schedule on FLNG facilities
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a process operator in the oil and gas, refining, or chemicals manufacturing
industry.
  • Strong preference for candidates with LNG experience.
  • Previous offshore experience a plus
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow complex operating procedures.
  • Highly driven, forward thinker and problem-solver; impeccable integrity and a strong personal work ethic.
  • Prior operations experience in oil & gas, refining, or chemical manufacturing is a plus.
Work Conditions:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, work
at height above ground on stairs and catwalks, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear, smell, type and
write.
  • Must be able to board a ship via a gangway, climb to the top of a tank (200+ steps), scale vertical steel ladder
up to forty feet or more in height and lift and move objects weighting up to 30 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work indoors & outdoors, and be exposed to year round weather conditions, ocean environment, and noise. There is a considerable number of outdoor
activities involved.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the
ability to adjust focus.
  • Required to pass regularly scheduled physical examinations mandated by regulatory authorities.
  • Required to obtain mandated certification by attending Company-sponsored training in basic first aid, CPR,
AED & LNG firefighting.
