Group Accountant

We ve partnered with an amazing textile manufacturer, based in Greater Manchester in their search for a Group Accountant. Someone ready to take the reins from a long-standing team member who s heading into retirement.

There ll be a lengthy handover with plenty of support and knowledge-sharing to set you up for success. You ll manage a small, tight-knit finance team of three and look after the numbers across three business units.

With a new Managing Director bringing fresh ideas and exciting growth plans, it s a great time to join them.

What you ll get

• £60-70k (DOE)

About You

• You re a fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) (Essential)
• Solid experience in management accounts, cost accounting and year-end close
• Good working knowledge of SAP and intercompany accounting
• You re keen, and curious to really understand how the business works, not just the numbers
• A supportive leader that will bring out the best in others
• You re loyal and committed, looking for a role where you can stay for a long time
• The ability to take on and retain lots of information during a thorough handover

About the Role

• Oversee all financial activity across three business units, ensuring accuracy and consistency at every stage
• Prepare and submit monthly management accounts
• Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Support the external audit process
• Oversee month-end and year-end close
• Coach and develop your small finance team
• Help improve reporting, processes and controls as the business grows
