JOB SUMMARY
The CBRE Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor (EHS) is responsible for providing product stewardship from the inception of the product to its placement in the community including the safety aspects of any products returned to Google. The position requires someone with a very strong background in project management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Meets with Google engineers on all levels of product development and placement.
Conduct ongoing risk assessments throughout the product life cycle and identify actions and develop procedures to mitigate any hazards.
Continue safety oversight throughout the development of the product for awareness of upcoming changes in each device and product.
Thoroughly assess and uncover all possible safety aspects along all phases of a product development project.
Partner with all departments and teams associated with the development of each new product during all phases of the product development.
Develop guidelines and mitigate processes for any safety concerns.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in EHS or a related field, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years experience in managing large programs from inception to completion.
Managing large projects involving equipment development is a huge plus.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Work both independently and collaboratively, exercising good reasoning skills.
Develop positive relationships with teams and stakeholders.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to solve problems and to anticipate hazards..
Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
Ability to drive decisions, lead meetings/strategy discussions, define priorities, and decide which course of action (and adjust when it needs adjusting).
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
CSP or other relevant certification preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
