Check out our careers page: of Job: Engages in the fabrication of plumbing products.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to)Lifts, positions, and removes work pieces from machines to complete or assist in fitting and assembly.Measures or assists in measuring components for cutting to length and assembly to drawings provided.Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, and work in process by hand or truck.Attaches rope or grappling equipment to work pieces to prepare work piece for moving by crane or jib.Cleans components in preparation for assembly.Solders copper joints, glues PVC, and clamps cast iron components in assembly process.Mark, label, and package components for shipment.Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.Ability to handle stress and job demands.Cooperatively work with others.Performs other routine duties.Education and Experience:High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience and training.NCCER certification preferred.Skills and Abilities:Technical Skills PlumbingMust be able to meet productivity standards in a timely manner.Must be observant of safety and security procedures and be able to determine appropriate action beyond guidelines.Ability to use equipment and materials appropriately is required.Must be able to follow instructions, and take responsibility for own actions.Must be able to keep commitments which can include long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.Should complete tasks on time or notify appropriate person with an alternate plan.Physical Demands/Working Conditions:The physical activities described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position occasionally may require lifting heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.Individuals may occasionally be exposed to hazardous conditions, high places and /or hazardous equipment.
