Who we are looking for

Our EMS Consulting Commercial team works with bid and delivery teams across Consulting to:

i) Provide strategic and operational commercial support across the end-to-end deal lifecycle from setting the commercial principles and pricing through to contract deployment, delivery and exit;

ii) Develop pricing approaches and any investment case required as part of the bid process for large scale, complex deals. This includes taking into account competitor analysis, evaluation approach review as well as validating that the commercial offer aligns with PwC's commercial policies;

iii) Establish and embed commercial ways of working for EMS services across the six service towers in order to support the development of new propositions and assets, so they are priced effectively.

iv) Deliver improved commercial outcomes across Consulting's strategic EMS deals by influencing how they are priced, negotiating the deals with the client and then commercially managing them in delivery.

v) Develop and implement new commercial metrics that incentivise the growth of the Execution Managed Service business.

You will be part of the leadership of Consulting EMS commercial team working in a fast paced, mentally stimulating, dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

You will play a key role in proactively leading the pricing and commercial approaches on some of PwC's most strategic EMS deals and play a key role in the success of the EMS business through delivering improved commercial outcomes.

Travel to London office once a week required.

Essential skills & experience required
  • Demonstrable experience of proactively developing relationships across senior stakeholders and embedding yourself as part of managed service deal teams;
  • Extensive service based pricing experience of managed service deals across a range of service offerings. This experience will have most likely to have been gained (but not exclusively) as part of a commercial role within a managed service provider or similar pricing or commercial role within a consultancy or industry;
  • Deep understanding and experience of working with deal solution teams to develop successful cost-to-serve models and develop and deploy appropriate pricing mechanisms;
  • Insight and experience of the application of a range of commercial levers to derive enhanced commercial performance;
  • Evidence of introducing new pricing approaches to new managed service propositions in line with changing market conditions;
  • Exceptional analytical and commercial modelling skills, comfortable working with quantitative data and undertaking detailed numerical analysis simultaneously on numerous deals;
  • Strong problem solving skills, taking a structured, hypothesis driven approach to test emerging findings;
  • Experience working with HR, legal and risk management colleagues to identify and address key commercial considerations such as TUPE and wider commercial risk as part of contract negotiations (e.g. KPIs, Service Levels, Service Credits modelling, liability);
  • Deliver high quality, persuasive and concise recommendations for senior audiences to influence stakeholders;
  • Strong orientation towards working in teams and coaching more junior colleagues within the team on key areas such as commercial modelling and deal structuring;
  • Proactive, adaptable and uses an innovative approach to their work.

Desired skills & experience
  • Experience and application of financial profiling and engineering in line with accounting principles as part of managed service deals.
